Obama Could Get Key Early Wins
Senate Democrats will have a strong majority when they convene for 2009’s agenda, likely providing enough of a majority to provide Obama with a number of early legislative wins. The Democrats believe that, although they are slightly short of the magic 60, they will be able to broker the support of moderate Republicans to pass bills previously cut off under the Bush administration.
